Project summary:

Farmers markets – are they sowing on neutral soil?

The University of Sydney is looking for people to get involved in an
exciting new project next month  – the aim of this project two-fold: to
determine whether inequalities exist in the accessibility of farmers
markets across NSW and to determine whether the price of fruit and
vegetables sold at these markets are higher compared to other retail
outlets.

We are looking for interested people to voluntarily visit their nearest
market, supermarket and grocery store to compare prices of selected
fruit and vegetables.  The fieldwork should take approximately 2 hours
in total.

We are trying to cover as much ground as possible throughout NSW, so the
more people get involved in this project, the more fruitful it may be!
If you are interested in getting involved and want more details please
contact Sinead Boylan before August 31, 2010 (the sooner the better) at
sboylan@usyd.edu.au or phone 02 9036 3006.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Best wishes,
Sinead.
